PGIMER Fellowship 2022 Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate must have passed MD/MS from a University/ Institute recognized by the
Medical Council of India (MCI). - For Nursing fellowship (Pediatric Critical Care Nursing): Candidate must have B.Sc. or Post Basic with 1 year experience in Pediatrics or M.Sc.
Pediatrics on or before 31.12.2021. - For Nursing fellowship (Neonatal Nursing): Candidate must have B.Sc.Nursing/ Post Basic Nursing with 1 year clinical/ teaching experience in Pediatric or M.Sc. Pediatric/Child Health Nursing on or before 31.12.2021.
- Must have either completed, or due to complete, two years senior residency in the
concerned department on or before 31st December/ 30th June for January and July session respectively. - Must be registered with Central /State Medical Registration Council o
- Must be registered Nurse (R.N. & R.M.) or equivalent
- Must be within the prescribed age limit as on 1st January 2022 as detailed below:-
- General category 45 years
- SC/ST candidates 50 years
- OBC candidates 48 years
- Ex-servicemen and Commissioned Officer including ECO, SSCO who have
rendered or released on satisfactory assignment 50 years - Sponsored candidates from other State Governments No age limit

- Breast Surgery: MS (Surgery) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency.
- Medical Parasitology: MD (Microbiology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute
recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency. - PET Imaging: MD (Nuclear Medicine) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute
recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency. - Glaucoma: MS (Ophthalmology) or it’s equivalent from a University/ Institute
recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency. - Cytopathology: MD/DNB (Pathology) from a university/institute recognized by the MCI.
- High-Risk Pregnancy & Perinatology: MS (Obst. & Gynaecology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency.
- Pediatric Orthopaedic: MS (Orthopaedics) or it is equivalent from a university/institute
recognized by the MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency. - Pediatric Radiology: MD (Radiology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute
recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency. - Brachytherapy: MD (Radiotherapy) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute

- Apheresis Technology and Applications: MD (Transfusion Medicine / Pathology) or it’s equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency.
Postdoctoral fellowships
- Paediatric Neurosurgery: M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and Must have completed their degree.
- Pediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia: For General candidate: DM (Cardiac Anaesthesia) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI. For sponsored candidate:
Post M.D. Cardiac Anaesthesia. - Laboratory Immunology and Molecular Laboratory Hematology: MD (Pathology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years Senior Residency in the concerned specialty of Pathology.
PGIMER Fellowship 2022 Application Form
Before proceeding to fill the PGIMER Fellowship and Post-Doctoral Fellowship Application Form. All applicants are suggested to read the Prospectus and Instructions carefully and ensure that no column in the Application Form is left blank. In the event of rejection of the application form, no correspondence/request for reconsideration will be entertained. Applicants are also advised to download and take a print of the Acknowledgement Form. They should retain a copy of the Acknowledgement form till the completion of the Admission Process.

PGIMER Fellowship 2022 Exam Pattern
- The Entrance Examination shall be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT).
- The Entrance Test duration shall be 01 hours (one hour / 60 minutes) for Fellowship/Postdoctoral Fellowship courses.
- The theory examination will consist of a paper with two parts (Part1- General, and Part2- Specialty), each with 30 marks.
- Part 1 will consist of 30 multiple choice questions of MD/MS/DM/M.Ch level, each with four options and a single most appropriate response.
- Part 2 of the paper will consist of 30 multiple choice questions related to Fellowship/ Postdoctoral Fellowship, each with four options and a single correct response.
- The total duration of the theory examination is 60 minutes. Each question
correctly answered in Part I & Part II will be awarded one mark, with 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers.
