- The Candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
- Candidates have to be qualified with a postgraduate degree in Science, Arts, Social Science, or Humanities with subjects like Mathematics, Life Sciences like Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, and Physics if they have graduated in a science field.
- Candidates must be qualified in History, Geography, Economics, Political Sciences, Psychology, Philosophy, Education, or Library if they have graduated from the arts stream.
- In all the streams, applicants should be qualified with at least 55% of the aggregate marks. In the case of the reserved category, the concession of 5% marks is given.
