• Candidates seeking admission to the D.El.Ed. course must have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) of CBSE or its equivalent examination from any other recognized Board/University.
• The minimum percentage of marks required for admission to the D.El.Ed. course is 50% in aggregate. For the CBSE board, the best 5 subjects including at least one language will be considered for calculating the percentage of marks.
• Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or Person with Disability (PwD) categories are eligible for a five percent relaxation in the qualifying examination.
• Therefore, candidates from these categories with 45% marks in the qualifying (10+2) exam can also apply.
• For boards/ universities other than CBSE, the aggregate of marks in the best 5 subjects, including at least one language, will be considered for calculating the percentage of marks.
• The percentage of marks in the Secondary Examination (10th) will be calculated based on the CGPA awarded by the CBSE board or the number of subjects required to pass the Secondary Examination for other equivalent boards.
• Appropriate prescribed CGPA/ GPA conversion formula must be applied to calculate the percentage of marks in the Secondary Examination (10th class).
• Candidates opting for Urdu/Punjabi language teaching in the respective institutes must have passed Urdu/ Punjabi as one subject in both the Secondary and Senior Secondary Exams (for government DIET only).
• Candidates applying under Urdu/ Punjabi language as a teaching subject should include the marks of Urdu/ Punjabi while calculating the total marks in both the Secondary and Senior Secondary Exams.
