Rajasthan JET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must ensure that he/ she is eligible for admission to desired courses before filling out the online application form for JET. If a non-eligible candidate is admitted due to any reason then the admission of such candidate will be canceled as soon as the mistake is detected even at a later stage and application and option form fees will be forfeited. Various eligibility criteria for admission through JET are as under:

Educational Qualification:

If you want to apply for the following courses, you need to have completed your 12th grade (10+2) with certain subjects:

• B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture

• B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture

• B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry

• B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Nutrition and Dietetics

• B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science/Home Science

• B.F.Sc. Fisheries Science

• B.Tech. (Dairy Technology)

• B.Tech. (Food Technology)

To be eligible for JET, you must have passed 12th grade with a combination of subjects in Science or Agriculture, such as:

Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Math, and Physics (Examples: ABC, PCM, PCB, PCMB, PCA, etc.)

Important Notes:

• For B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) and B.Tech. (Food Technology), you must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Math (PCM) in 12th grade.

• Students from Arts or Commerce streams cannot apply for JET.

You can choose to take any three subjects from the list above in the JET exam. However, if you’re applying for B.Tech. Dairy or Food Technology, you must take only PCM.

Marks Requirement:

• You need at least 50% marks in your 12th exams.

• If you belong to SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), MBC, SAP, or EWS categories, you can apply with 45% marks.

  • If you use this relaxation, you won’t be considered under the General category.

• Candidates who have a supplementary exam in 12th (2025) are not eligible for JET.

Age

The maximum age limit is 25 years as of 01.01.2025 i.e. the candidates born before 01.01.1998 are not eligible. The date of birth as mentioned in the Secondary Examination Marks Sheet/ Certificate will be considered authentic.

Rajasthan JET 2025 Entrance Exam Schedule

• JET will be conducted as per schedule from 11.00 AM to 1:00 PM on dated 14th May 2025 in selected cities of Rajasthan.
• The schedule of the test will be:- Reporting time at the examination center: 09:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
• Commencement of the examination: 11:00 AM No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination center, on the Date and Timings other than that allotted to them in their Admit card.
• End of Examination: 01:00 PM Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall during the examination.

Rajasthan JET 2025 Exam Pattern

• There would be a single question paper for all the candidates appearing in JET 2025 who want admission to different degree programs.
• The candidates desiring admission in the stream of Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Forestry/ Fisheries/ Food Nutrition and Dietetics/ Community Science may attempt any three subjects of their 10+2 stream.
• For admission in Dairy Technology and Food Technology, candidates must attempt Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
• The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi) and consist of multiple-choice-type questions. In case of any discrepancy, the English version will be considered correct.
• The question paper will be in the form of a test booklet containing five subjects viz. Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Each subject will have 40 multiple-choice questions.
• Marking scheme: Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer (A negative marking will be there). If more than one option is chosen or erased, it will be treated as the wrong answer. No marks will be awarded or deducted for unmarked/ unattempted questions.
• The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in this examination only.
• After obtaining the objections, if any question is found ambiguous or has ambiguous answers or correct answer more than one or no correct answer; such questions will be dropped and merit will be prepared after giving proportionate weightage based on obtained marks of remaining questions of respective subject.
