PGIMER Fellowship 2024 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must have passed MD/ MS from a University/ Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

For Nursing fellowship (Pediatric Critical Care Nursing)

Candidate must have B.Sc. or Post Basic with 1-year experience in Pediatrics or M.Sc. Pediatrics on or before 31.12.2022.

For Nursing fellowship (Neonatal Nursing)

• Candidate must have B.Sc.Nursing/Post-Basic Nursing with 1 year of clinical/ teaching experience in Pediatric or M.Sc. Pediatric/Child Health Nursing on or before 31.12.2022.
• Must have either completed or due to complete, two years of senior residency in the concerned department on or before 31st December/30th June for January and July sessions respectively.
• Must be registered with Central /State Medical Registration Council or Must be registered Nurse (R.N. & R.M.) or equivalent.
• Must be within the prescribed age limit as of 1st January, 2022 as detailed below:-
• General category: 45 years
• SC/ ST candidates: 50 years
• OBC candidates: 48 years
• Ex-servicemen and Commissioned Officers including ECO, SSCO who have rendered or released on satisfactory assignment: 50 years
• Sponsored candidates from other State Governments: No age limit

Fellowships

• 1. Medical Parasitology/ Medical Parasitology: MD (Microbiology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 2. PET Imaging/ Nuclear Medicine: MD (Nuclear Medicine) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 3. High-Risk Pregnancy & Perinatology/ Obst. & Gynaecology: MS (Obst. & Gynaecology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 4. Pediatric Radiology,/ Radio diagnosis: MD (Radiology) or it’s equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 5. Cytopathology/ Cytology & Gynae Pathology: Must have completed MD/ DNB (Pathology) on or before 31.12.2022 from a university/ institute recognized by the MCI.
• 6. Brachytherapy/ Radiotherapy: MD (Radiotherapy) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 7. Consultation Liaison Psychiatry/ Psychiatry: MD (Psychiatry) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency 31.12.2022.
• 8. Spine Surgery/ Orthpaedic Surgery: MS (Orthopaedics) or its equivalent from a university/ institute recognized by the MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 9. Apheresis Technology and Applications/ Blood Transfusion Medicine: MD (Transfusion Medicine / Pathology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 10. Pediatric Epilepsy/ Pediatrics: MD (Pediatrics) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 11. Health Economics/ Community Medicine & SPH: MD in community medicine and completed two years of senior resident. MA in Economics and Ph.D. or Ph.D. in relevant specialty, and completed two years of Senior Demonstrator
  or equivalent experience 31.12.2022.
• 12. Environmental & Occupational Health/ Community Medicine & SPH: MD in community medicine and completed two years of senior resident. MA/M.Sc in Environmental Science & Ph.D., MPH & Ph.D., and completed two years of Senior Demonstrator on or before 31.12.2022.
• 13. Pediatric Urology/ Pediatric Surgery: M.Ch Pediatric Surgery/ M.Ch Urology or its equivalent from a University/ Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) on or before 31.12.2022
• 14. Uveitis/ Ophthalmology: MD/ MS/ DNB Ophthalmology or equivalent qualification recognized by the MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 15. Pediatric Resuscitation and Emergency Medicine (PREM)/ Pediatrics: MD Pediatric/ DNB Pediatrics and completed two years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 16. Pediatric Diabetes/ Pediatri: MD Pediatrics or its equivalent degree from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 17. Obstetric Anaesthesia and Intensive Care/ Anaesthesia: MD Anaesthesia from a University/Institute duly recognized by MCI and completed two years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.
• 18. Pediatric Critical Care Nursing/ National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE): Must be registered nurse (R.N. & R.M.) or equivalent. B.Sc. or Post Basic with 1-year experience in Pediatrics or M.Sc. Pediatrics on or before 31.12.2022.
• 19. Neonatal Nursing/ National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE): Must be registered nurse (R.N. & R.M.) or equivalent. B.Sc. Nursing/Post-Basic Nursing with one year of clinical/ teaching experience in pediatrics or M.Sc. Pediatric/ Child Health Nursing on or before 31.12.2022.
• 20. Glaucoma/ Ophthalmology: MS (Ophthalmology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years of Senior Residency on or before 31.12.2022.

Post Doctoral Fellowships

• 21. Paediatric Neurosurgery/ Neurosurgery: M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and Must have completed their degree on or before 31.12.2022.
• 22. Pediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia & Intensive Care/ Anaesthesia:
• For General candidate: DM (Cardiac Anaesthesia) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI on or before 31.12.2022.
• For sponsored candidate: Post M.D. Cardiac Anaesthesia.
• 23. Lab. Immunology & Molecular/ Pediatrics: MD (Pathology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years Senior Residency in the concerned specialty of Pathology on or before 31.12.2022.

PGIMER Fellowship 2024 Application Form

Before proceeding to fill the PGIMER Fellowship and Post-Doctoral Fellowship Application Form. All applicants are suggested to read the Prospectus and Instructions carefully and ensure that no column in the Application Form is left blank. In the event of rejection of the application form, no correspondence/request for reconsideration will be entertained. Applicants are also advised to download and take a print of the Acknowledgement Form. They should retain a copy of the Acknowledgement form till the completion of the Admission Process.

The PGIMER Fellowship and Post-Doctoral Fellowship Application Fee for all categories is Rs. 1500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable. How To Apply For PGI Chandigarh Fellowship?

• Move to the official portal of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh @ pgimer.edu.in.
• On the home page, go to the Information For Candidates section.
• Click on the link that says “ADMISSION NOTICE FOR PGIMER Fellowship and Post-Doctoral Fellowship COURSES.”
• Now the PGIMER Fellowship Notification will appear.

• Tap on the Register button and enter the basic details to finish the registration process.

PGIMER Fellowship 2024 – Important Links

PGIMER Fellowship 2024 Exam Pattern

• The Entrance Examination shall be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT).
• The Entrance Test duration shall be 01 hours (one hour / 60 minutes) for Fellowship/Postdoctoral Fellowship courses.
• The theory examination will consist of a paper with two parts (Part1- General, and Part2- Specialty), each with 30 marks.
• Part 1 will consist of 30 multiple choice questions of MD/MS/DM/M.Ch level, each with four options and a single most appropriate response.
• Part 2 of the paper will consist of 30 multiple choice questions related to Fellowship/ Postdoctoral Fellowship, each with four options and a single correct response.
• The total duration of the theory examination is 60 minutes. Each question
  correctly answered in Part I & Part II will be awarded one mark, with 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers.

PGIMER Fellowship Admit Card 2024

PGIMER Fellowship Admit Card for appearing in the entrance examination is
available for download to eligible candidates and PGIMER Fellowship Hall Ticket can be downloaded from the website by logging into their accounts with their respective login id and password. PGIMER Fellowship and Post-Doctoral Fellowship Hall Ticket will not be sent by post. The candidates are allowed to enter the examination hall on the production of the Admit Card/ Hall Ticket.
