Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

Courses Eligibility Criteria
B.Arch (Revised) Candidates should pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either chemistry or biology or technical vocational subject or computer science or information technology or informatics practices or engineering graphics or business studies with at least 45% marks in aggregate or passed 10+3 diploma examination with mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
BE/ BTech Candidates should pass in 2nd PUC/ Class 12/ equivalent exam with English as one of the Languages and obtain a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer (40% for reserved category)
Farm Science courses mean, BSc (Hons) Agriculture, BSc (Hons) Sericulture, B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture, BSc (Hons) Forestry, BTech Biotechnology, B.Sc (Hons) Community Science, B.Tech (Agril. Engg), BTech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.F.Sc (Fisheries), BSc (Hons) Ag. Maco. Candidates should have passed the 2nd PUC/ Class 12/ equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology as optional subjects.
Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) Candidates should pass in 2nd PU/ Class 12 and obtain a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subjects (40% for reserved categories).
BPharma
  • Passed in 2nd PUC/ Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects. (40% for reserved category candidates) or
  • Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured a minimum of 45% marks. (40% for reserved category candidates)
2nd Year BPharma Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured a minimum of 45% marks. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates).
D. Pharma Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. OR Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
Naturopathy & Yoga Passed in Q. E. with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects in the Q. E. are eligible for admission to Naturopathy & Yoga courses. 40% of marks in Q. E. in the case of SC, ST, Category–I, and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B) Category candidates.

KCET Exam Pattern 2025

  • The KCET 2025 Entrance Test will be conducted in offline mode, which means it will be a pen and paper-based exam.
  • The paper will consist of multiple types of questions.
  • Each question will consist of four options out of which candidates will have to choose one correct answer.
  • The maximum mark for each paper will be 60.
  • Each question will carry 1 mark.
  • There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • The medium of the language will be either English or Kannada in the exam.
  • Each paper will be of  80 Minutes
