JEXPO Exam Eligibility Criteria
Diploma in Engineering & Technology in different disciplines (admission in the first year) in all Polytechnic Institutes
Eligibility Qualification:
- Must have passed the Secondary (Madhyamik) Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from any recognized Board/ Council/ Institute with English, Mathematics, and Physical Science/ Science/ Science & Technology among others as subjects securing at least 35% marks (without rounding up) in aggregate as per AICTE norms excluding the marks of the subject taken as additional/ optional.
- Candidates appearing in the Secondary (Madhyamik) Examination of the West Bengal
Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in 2023 with English, Mathematics, and Physical Science/ Science/ Science & Technology among others as subjects may also apply. However, submission of pass certificate/ mark sheet at the time of admission and conforming to the benchmark of 35% marks (without rounding up) in aggregate as per AICTE norms excluding the marks of the subject taken as additional/ optional, is a must, failing which candidature is liable to be canceled even after selection in JEXPO 2023.
Age criteria: No upper age limit, but the candidate’s date of birth should not be after 1st July 2007
Duration of the Course: 3 years
Part-Time Morning Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Engineering (for ST candidates only) at Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar Polytechnic, Jhargram.
Eligibility Qualification: Schedule Tribe (ST) Candidates, who passed the Madhyamik or equivalent examination, are eligible. ST candidates who are citizens of India and domiciled in West Bengal for at least the last two years from the date of application are only eligible for admission to these courses.
Age criteria: Date of Birth should not be after 1st July 2007
Duration of the Course: 4 years
Part-Time Diploma in Mining Engineering at Harasankar Bhattacharya Institute of Technology & Mining, Paschim Bardhaman
Eligibility Qualification:
- The sponsored candidates from M/s Eastern Coalfield Limited (ECL) should have passed Madhyamik / Secondary/ equivalent examination with Physical Science and Mathematics and must possess at least 3 years post qualification working experience in Mining related jobs as on the last date of submission of application.
- Application from the following categories of employees working in any mine of ECL would not be considered:
- Overman
- Mining Sirdar
- Surface Worker
- Surveyors or persons working in Survey Department, and
- Piece-rated worker.
- The sponsored candidates from other Mining organizations except for M/s Eastern Coalfield Limited should possess:
- Pass in Madhyamik/ Secondary/ equivalent examination holding National Trade Certificate (NTC) with one-year post qualification working experience in the related field; OR
- Pass in Higher Secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must possess one-year post-qualification working experience in the related Mining field; OR
- Pass in Madhyamik/ Secondary/ equivalent examination with Physical Science and Mathematics and three years post qualification working experience in the related Mining field.
Age criteria: Not below 19 years as of 01.01.2023 (Female candidates are not allowed to apply for this course)
