The authorities of the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) will accept the JEXPO 2024 Application Form for admission into Diploma courses in Engineering & Technology, and Architecture fields. JEXPO 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Diploma in Engineering & Technology in different disciplines (admission in the first year) in all Polytechnic Institutes 

Eligibility Qualification:

  • Must have passed the Secondary (Madhyamik) Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from any recognized Board/ Council/ Institute with English, Mathematics, and Physical Science/ Science/ Science & Technology among others as subjects securing at least 35% marks (without rounding up) in aggregate as per AICTE norms excluding the marks of the subject taken as additional/ optional.
  • Candidates appearing in the Secondary (Madhyamik) Examination of the West Bengal
    Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in 2024 with English, Mathematics, and Physical Science/ Science/ Science & Technology among others subjects may also apply. However, submission of pass certificate/ mark sheet at the time of admission and conforming to the benchmark of 35% marks (without rounding up) in aggregate as per AICTE norms excluding the marks of the subject taken as additional/ optional, is a must, failing which candidature is liable to be canceled even after selection in JEXPO 2024.
  • Age criteria: No upper age limit, but the candidate’s date of birth should not be after 1st July 2007
  • Duration of the Course: 3 years

Part-Time Morning Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Engineering (for ST candidates only) at Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar Polytechnic, Jhargram.

  • Eligibility Qualification: Schedule Tribe (ST) Candidates, who passed the Madhyamik or equivalent examination, are eligible. ST candidates who are citizens of India and domiciled in West Bengal for at least the last two years from the date of application are only eligible for admission to these courses.
  • Age criteria: Date of Birth should not be after 1st July 2007
  • Duration of the Course: 4 years

Part-Time Diploma in Mining Engineering at Harasankar Bhattacharya Institute of Technology & Mining, Paschim Bardhaman

Eligibility Qualification:

  • The sponsored candidates from M/s Eastern Coalfield Limited (ECL) should have passed the Madhyamik / Secondary/ equivalent examination with Physical Science and Mathematics and must possess at least 3 years post qualification working experience in Mining related jobs as on the last date of submission of application.
  • Application from the following categories of employees working in any mine of ECL would not be considered:
  1. Overman
  2. Mining Sirdar
  3. Surface Worker
  4. Surveyors or persons working in Survey Department, and
  5. Piece-rated worker.
  • The sponsored candidates from other Mining organizations except for M/s Eastern Coalfield Limited should possess:
  1. Pass in Madhyamik/ Secondary/ equivalent examination holding National Trade Certificate (NTC) with one-year post qualification working experience in the related field; OR
  2. Pass in Higher Secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must possess one-year post-qualification working experience in the related Mining field; OR
  3. Pass in Madhyamik/ Secondary/ equivalent examination with Physical Science and Mathematics and three years post qualification working experience in the related Mining field.
  • Age criteria: Not below 19 years as of 01.01.2024 (Female candidates are not allowed to apply for this course)
  • Duration of the Course: 4 years

  • Then you will be landed on the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) home page
  • On the home page, you will get to see the link that states, ‘Click to Apply’ under Online Application for JEXPO
  • By clicking on the respective link, you will be directed to another page
  • If you were not registered before, click on the registration link and enter your details
  • Once you were successfully registered, log in with your details
  • Fill in the application form by giving in the details that asked
  • Upload the required documents
  • Finally, apply before the due date and download the application form for later references

JEXPO 2024 Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: Offline (pen and paper test) mode on the OMR sheet.
  • Medium of the Exam: Bengali and English
  • Type of Questions: Objective Type Question
  • Total Questions: 100 Question
  • Total Marks: 100 Marks
  • Marking Scheme: One Mark for each right answer
  • Duration of the Exam: 2 Hours

JEXPO 2024 Syllabus

MCQ-type questions will have to be answered on specially designed machine gradable answer sheets (OMR Answer Sheet)

JEXPO Admit Card 2024

e-Admit Card of the candidates appearing for JEXPO 2024 will be available on the website www.webscte.co.in. Admit Card can be downloaded by entering Application Form Number. The print-out copy of the e-Admit Card available on the website will be treated as a valid Admit Card for JEXPO 2024. The e-Admit Card will contain the name & address of the Examination Centre for JEXPO 2024 along with other details. No Admit Card will be sent to the applicants appearing for JEXPO 2024 through post or other means. Candidates must retain/ preserve their e-Admit Cards carefully till completion of the admission process for the academic session 2024-2024 and registration under the council.

JEXPO 2024 Result

The result of JEXPO 2024 conducted by the WBSCT&VE&SD (TED) will be the basis of merit in this case. The merit position will be available on the Council’s website at www.webscte.co.in. The Council will not communicate the result to any individual applicant. No Rank Card will be issued by the Council to the merit-listed candidates individually. There is no provision for post-publication scrutiny or review and inspection and hence any such prayer will not be entertained. A candidate must follow the Council’s website www.webscte.co.in on regular basis for obtaining information regarding the post-result-publication counseling program for admission.
