Jammu and Kashmir BSc Nursing Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria

A. Eligibility for B.Sc. Nursing Programme:

The candidates applying for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Programme must fulfill the following eligibility conditions; A candidate must:

• a. (i) be a domicile of UT of J&K/ UT of Ladakh as the case may be (if the candidate(s) applying for this course do not have a domicile certificate at the time of filling up the application form, he/ she is advised to upload an undertaking certifying that he/ she shall produce the domicile certificate at the time of counselling). For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, the ST certificate issued by a Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as a Domicile certificate;
• (ii) be at least 17 years old on 31st December 2024;
• (iii) have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination individually in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English Core/ English Elective with an aggregate of 45% marks taken together in PCB subjects from Recognised Board Under AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/ SSCE/ HSCE or other equivalent Board or students appearing in 10+2 examination in science (PCB) conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks;
• (iv) be medically fit.
• b. The candidates appearing/ appeared in the 10+2 (12th Class) examination 2024 can also apply, provided such candidates have qualified for the examination at the time of declaration of the result of the Entrance Test on the date of counselling as may be notified by the Board. Their Entrance Test result shall remain withheld unless they produce the necessary certificate of qualifying for the 10+2 (12th Class) examination;

B. Eligibility for B.Sc. Para-Medical Courses:

The candidates applying for admission to B.Sc. Para-medical Courses must fulfill the following eligibility conditions; The candidate must:

• a. (i) be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (if the candidate(s) applying for this course do not have a domicile certificate at the time of filling up the application form, he/ she is advised to upload an undertaking certifying that he/ she shall produce the domicile certificate at the time of counselling). For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, the ST certificate issued by a Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as a Domicile certificate;
• (ii) be at least 17 years old on 31st December 2024
• (iii) have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science (PCB) and English through a recognized Board / University securing a minimum 50% and above marks for Open Merit Candidates and 40 % marks and above for candidates belonging to Reserved Categories in aggregate;
• b. The candidates appearing/ appearing in the 10+2 (12th Class) examination; in 2024 can also apply, provided such candidates have qualified for the examination at the time of declaration of the result of the Entrance Test on the date of counselling as may be notified by the Board. Their Entrance Test result shall remain withheld unless they produce the necessary certificate of qualifying for the 10+2 (12th Class) examination;
• c. Have obtained a diploma in the concerned stream and have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and a diploma registered with J&K Para-Medical Council for Lateral Entry candidates applying for admission to these courses.

C. Eligibility for B.Sc. Technology Courses in SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar

A candidate must:

• a. (i) be a domicile of UT of J&K/ UT of Ladakh as the case may be(if the candidate(s) applying for this course do not have a domicile certificate at the time of filling up the application form, he/ she is advised to upload an undertaking certifying that he/ she shall produce the domicile certificate at the time of counselling). For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, an ST certificate issued by a Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as a Domicile certificate;
• (ii) have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science (PCB) and English through a recognized Board / University securing a minimum 50% and above marks for Open Merit Candidates and 40 % marks and above for candidates belonging to Reserved Categories in aggregate;
