GATE COAP Round 3 Admission – Options

Option 1 (Accept and Freeze)

The aspirants who wish to accept the allotted seat through GATE counseling 3rd Round and do not want any up-gradation in the subsequent rounds and will not consider any COAP offers or Upgrading offers in the subsequent rounds can make use of this option.

Option 2 (Retain and Wait)

The aspirants who wish to accept the allotted seat under COAP 3rd offers, and also want to consider the up-gradation in the subsequent seat allotment rounds in GATE counseling can use this option. And in this case, candidates will not be considered for any other Rejected COAP offers in the current round. Moreover, the existing ‘Retain and Wait’ offer will be canceled, if a higher preferred offer is made in the next round.

Option 3 (Reject and Wait)

For the candidates who do not want to accept any of the allotted seats under COAP offers but are willing to consider the subsequent rounds of seat allotment, this option will be useful.
