FRI 2022 – Eligibility Criteria
M.Sc. Forestry
- B.Sc. degree with at least one of the subjects namely Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, or a B.Sc. degree in Agriculture or Forestry.
M.Sc. Wood Science & Technology
- B.Sc. degree with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry (PCM) or B.Sc. degree in Forestry.
M.Sc. Environment Management
- B.Sc. degree in any branch of Basic or Applied Sciences or Bachelor’s degree in
Forestry or Agriculture or BE/ B.Tech in Environment Science.
M.Sc. Cellulose & Paper Technology
B.Sc. degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects. BE/B.Tech. (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 50% aggregate).

FRI M.Sc Exam Pattern 2022
A. There will be an objective type written test of three hours with questions grouped under the following four sections:
- Basic Sciences including Social Science (100 questions)
- Arithmetic and Quantitative abilities, Computational ability, Quantitative reasoning,
Interpretation of Tables, Graphs, etc. (40 questions) - General Knowledge and Current Affairs (30 questions)
- English Language, Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Idioms, etc. (30 questions)
B. Each question will be followed by four alternative answers. The candidate is required to select the one which he/ she feels is the correct answer. The detailed instructions are given accordingly. The candidate is advised to go through the instructions.
C. There will be negative marking for the wrong answers to the extent of one-fourth (1/4) of the marks allotted to the questions.
D. In case of any dispute it will be subject to the jurisdiction of Dehra Dun court only.

FRI Entrance Exam M.Sc. Admit Card 2022
- Admit card/ login details will be provided to the applicant by the 1st week of May 2022 by the outsourcing agency.
- Candidates selected for the written tests based on the academic and other requirements will be sent the admit card through e-mail/ surface mail. In case of admission to the M.Sc. courses, the aggregate marks of all the three science subjects will only be computed for ascertaining the 50% qualifying marks in respect of General/ OBC candidates and 45% in respect of SC/ ST candidates. The marks of other than Science subjects and aggregate marks of honors subject shall not be considered in any case for ascertaining the qualifying marks for appearing in the admission test.
FRI M.Sc Result 2022
- A merit list of candidates including a waiting list will be formed for each course on the basis of aggregate marks secured in the written test.
- Candidates will be selected in order of merit in all categories. The list of selected will be declared on the website www.fridu.edu.in. The date of first counseling is 4th July 2022 and the date of second counseling is 7th July 2022. The candidates will be suitably advised before they come for counseling.
