CLAT Counselling 2025 | Registration, Dates, Seat Allotment: CLAT Counselling Registration Process 2025 is started for admissions to the five-year integrated Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs commencing in the Academic Year 2025-2026 at National Law Universities participating in the Common Law Admission Test 2025. Candidates who are eligible for the CLAT Counselling 2025 need to login into the CLAT portal. Moreover, Students can apply for the CLAT Counselling Registration process. The counselling process for CLAT 2025 is likely to begin soon. Hearing of cases by the Delhi HC is scheduled to take place on 7th April 2025, after which we will learn if CLAT 2025 counselling will take place or if the Delhi HC directs the Consortium to withhold the counselling process. Earlier, the Consortium of National Law Universities suspended the first 2025 merit list, provisionally put CLAT 2025 counselling on hold due to a previous decision by the Delhi HC in December that required CLAT 2025 results to be revised .

CLAT Counselling Registration Fee

To complete their registration for the Admissions Counselling Process Candidates must pay the Counselling Registration Fee by 6:00 P.M. on 12th January 2025 as set out below:

  • Candidates from the General Category: Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees Thirty thousand only)
  • Candidates from the ST/ SC/ OBC/ BC/ EWS/ PWD categories are required to pay
    Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only)

Rounds of Admissions For CLAT Counselling

  • There will be five rounds of admissions counselling. Please refer to the Admissions
    Counselling Calendar in para 7 below for a list of dates.
  • If a candidate is not allotted a seat in a given round, they are requested to wait for the next round of counselling as this is a sequential process.
  • The fifth round of admissions counselling shall be conducted in June 2025 to fill any seat vacancies that remain.
  • All available seats will be allotted to the next eligible candidates at this point.
  • All open ‘Float’ options shall stand converted to ‘Freeze’ for the last allocated seats.
  • After the Fifth round of the admissions counselling process, the central admission process conducted by the Consortium will be closed. Member NLUs may thereafter admit candidates to fill the remaining vacant seats, if any, by following their prescribed norms.

Candidates are requested to keep a soft/scanned of the following documents ready for upload for the Admissions Counselling Process:

For the UG Programme:

  • Grade 10 statement of marks*
  • CLAT 2025 Admit Card*
  • Grade 12 statement of marks
  • Character Certificate/Conduct Certificate from the Educational Institution last attended
  • Transfer/Migration Certificate from the Educational Institution last attended
  • Caste Certificate (SC, ST, OBC, etc.) if applied and allotted under the Reserved category of seats.*
  • PwD/ SAP Certificate, if applied and allotted under the PwD category* Domicile/Residence Certificate, if applied and assigned under the domicile/resident category seat*
  • Any other supporting documents to claim your seat for the category you have applied (E.g.: Wards of Serving/Retired Defence Personnel, EWS certificate, Sons/daughters of Ex-servicemen/Defence service personnel etc.)*

For the PG Programme

  • Grade 10 statement of marks*
  • CLAT 2025 Admit Card*

CLAT Seat Allotment 2025

All candidates are advised to note that seat allotment by the Consortium through the Admissions Counselling Process is provisional and subject to final verification and validation by the concerned NLU. Make a note that the CLAT Seat Allotment 2025 will be released based on the choice filling made by the candidates.

How To  Register For CLAT Counselling 2025?

  • Eligible Candidates will be invited to participate in the Admissions Counselling Process by the rank list and the admissions matrix provided by each
    NLU by visiting the official website @ consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • To register for the Admissions Counselling Process, you must log in to your CLAT account.
  • Click the ‘Make Payment’ button; (the Make Payment button will be visible only if you have been selected for the Admissions Counselling Process).
  • Complete the payment of the Counselling Registration Fee.
  • Only candidates who have successfully completed the registration process for the Admissions Counselling Process will be considered for the allotment of seats.
