CLAT counselling 2025 began at the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) from 17thMay 2025. The application for CLAT UG counselling 2025 is now being accepted on the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in through 21st May 2025, 5 pm. The first merit list is to be released on 26th May 2025 for admissions. Earlier, the Consortium of National Law Universities suspended the first 2025 merit list, provisionally put CLAT 2025 counselling on hold due to a previous decision by the Delhi HC in December that required CLAT 2025 results to be revised.

CLAT Counselling Registration Fee
- The application fees must be paid online.
- Application fee for General/OBC/NRI candidates: Rs.4,000/-
- Application fee for SC/ST/BPL/PWD category candidates: Rs.3,500/-
- The previous year’s question papers cost Rs.500/- (not included in CLAT 2025 application fee of Rs.4,000/- or Rs.3,500/- as per the case).
- The bank transaction charges must be borne by the candidates themselves while making online remittances for payment of fees.
- These actual bank transaction fees will be visible on the payment gateway website after candidates select the payment method.
- Application Fees is Non-refundable.
Rounds of Admissions For CLAT Counselling
- There will be five rounds of admissions counselling. Please refer to the Admissions
Counselling Calendar in para 7 below for a list of dates. - If a candidate is not allotted a seat in a given round, they are requested to wait for the next round of counselling as this is a sequential process.
- The fifth round of admissions counselling shall be conducted in June 2025 to fill any seat vacancies that remain.
- All available seats will be allotted to the next eligible candidates at this point.
- All open ‘Float’ options shall stand converted to ‘Freeze’ for the last allocated seats.
- After the Fifth round of the admissions counselling process, the central admission process conducted by the Consortium will be closed. Member NLUs may thereafter admit candidates to fill the remaining vacant seats, if any, by following their prescribed norms.

For the UG Programme:
- Grade 10 statement of marks*
- CLAT 2025 Admit Card*
- Grade 12 statement of marks
- Character Certificate/Conduct Certificate from the Educational Institution last attended
- Transfer/Migration Certificate from the Educational Institution last attended
- Caste Certificate (SC, ST, OBC, etc.) if applied and allotted under the Reserved category of seats.*
- PwD/ SAP Certificate, if applied and allotted under the PwD category* Domicile/Residence Certificate, if applied and assigned under the domicile/resident category seat*
- Any other supporting documents to claim your seat for the category you have applied (E.g.: Wards of Serving/Retired Defence Personnel, EWS certificate, Sons/daughters of Ex-servicemen/Defence service personnel etc.)*
For the PG Programme

All candidates are advised to note that seat allotment by the Consortium through the Admissions Counselling Process is provisional and subject to final verification and validation by the concerned NLU. Make a note that the CLAT Seat Allotment 2025 will be released based on the choice filling made by the candidates.
How To Register For CLAT Counselling 2025?
- Eligible Candidates will be invited to participate in the Admissions Counselling Process by the rank list and the admissions matrix provided by each
NLU by visiting the official website @ consortiumofnlus.ac.in - To register for the Admissions Counselling Process, you must log in to your CLAT account.
- Click the ‘Make Payment’ button; (the Make Payment button will be visible only if you have been selected for the Admissions Counselling Process).
- Complete the payment of the Counselling Registration Fee.
- Only candidates who have successfully completed the registration process for the Admissions Counselling Process will be considered for the allotment of seats.
