CIT Kokrajhar 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Those who are interested to appeal for the Central Institute of Technology Entrance Examination (CITEE) should cross-check the CITEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria, which are given below.

Diploma Programs

• SELECTION PROCESS: Candidates seeking admission to the Diploma must qualify for either the Central Institute of Technology Diploma Entrance Examination (CITKEE) conducted by CIT Kokrajhar or the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) conducted by SCTE, Assam. 85% of the intake is allotted for CITEE and the rest of the seats are allotted for PAT-qualified candidates.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSLC or equivalent with 40% marks in aggregate and 40% of marks in Science, Mathematics (or Advanced Mathematics), and English took together. (5% relaxation for ST/ SC/ PWD candidates).
• Age Limit – The age of the candidates as of 1st August of the current Academic year must not exceed the following age limit for different categories

(i) GEN/ OBC – 19 years

(ii) SC/ ST/ PWD – 24 years

(iii) Female Candidates – 22 years.

B.Tech – Bachelor of Technology (Direct Entry)

• SELECTION PROCESS: Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech through the Direct Entry Scheme must qualify for either the Central Institute of Technology Bachelor of Technology Entrance Examination (CITBTEE)-2024 conducted by CIT Kokrajhar or JEE (Mains) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). 60% of the intake is allotted for CITBTEE- 2024 and the rest of the seats are allotted for JEE (Mains) qualified candidates.
• ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: B. Tech (Direct Entry): 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. (5% relaxation for ST/ SC/ PWD candidates).
• AGE LIMIT: Candidates must not be above 21 years, or below 17 years of age as of 1^st August of the current academic year. The upper age limit is relaxed to 3 years for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.

Bachelor of Technology (Vertical/ Lateral Entry)

• SELECTION PROCESS:

For Vertical Entry: The Vertical Entry Scheme is offered only for meritorious students who passed Diploma from CIT Kokrajhar and are selected based on their performance in the Diploma Exams.

For Lateral Entry: For the Lateral Entry Scheme, the candidates must qualify the Central Institute of Technology BTECH Lateral Entry Test (CITKEE)-2024 – conducted by CIT Kokrajhar.

• ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Vertical Entry: Passed Diploma from CITK in the concerned branch of Engineering/Technology with a minimum aggregate of 65% marks. (5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ PWD).
Lateral Entry: Passed Diploma from CITK in the concerned branch of Engineering/Technology with a minimum aggregate of 65% marks. (5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ PWD).

• AGE LIMIT: 40 years for Gen candidates (45 years for SC/ ST/ PWD and 43 years for OBC and female candidates) as on 1 st August of the current academic year.

B.Des

• SELECTION PROCESS: Candidates seeking admission to the B. Des program through the Direct Entry Scheme must qualify for either the Central Institute of Technology Bachelor of Design Admission Test (CITKEE)-2024 conducted by CIT Kokrajhar or Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination of Design (UCEED) conducted by IIT Bombay. 60% of the intake is allotted for CITKEE and the rest of the seats are allotted for UCEED-qualified candidates. Candidates who are eligible for Vertical Entry admission to B. Des will be as per the academic ordinance of the Institute.
• ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: B. Des (Direct Entry):10+2 (any stream) or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. (5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).
• AGE LIMIT: Candidates must not be above 21 years, or below 17 years of age as of 1st August of the current academic year. The upper age limit is relaxed to 3 years for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.

M.Tech

• SELECTION PROCESS: Candidates seeking admission to the M. Tech Programme must qualify for either the Central Institute of Technology Master of Technology Entrance Examination (CITKEE) – 2024 conducted by CIT Kokrajhar or the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by IITs and IISc on behalf of National Coordination Board-GATE followed by personal interview to be conducted by respective Departments. GATE-qualified candidates will be given preference.
• ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Passed B. Tech or Equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 6.5/10 or 60% of marks in aggregate in relevant disciplines. (5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).

M.Des

• SELECTION PROCESS: For getting admission into M. Des program, the candidates must qualify for either the Central Institute of Technology Master of Design Admission Test (CITKEE) – 2024 conducted by CIT Kokrajhar or the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) conducted by IIT Bombay.
• ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Candidates who have completed a three-year degree program (10+2+3 pattern) in any specialization from a recognized college or university with a minimum experience of one (1) year of professional program/work experience in the relevant areas of art, animation, multimedia, mass media, and design OR passed Four (4) year B.Des/BFA/BVA/Bachelors in Multimedia/Fashion/Accessory design or equivalent or appearing final year examination in similar course OR Five (5) year professional degree in BFA, BVA or equivalent.

Ph.D. Program

• SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process is through a Written Test followed by Personal Interview.
• ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Master’s degree in relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 6.5/10 or 60% for Engineering or Grade B or 55% of marks in UGC 7-point scale for others. Or B. Tech degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 8.5/10 or 80% marks in aggregate.

CIT Kokrajhar 2024 Exam Pattern

CITDEE: CITDEE is conducted once every year by CIT Kokrajhar for entry into the Diploma program. It is three hours duration and consists of multiple-choice questions with a total of 150 marks. The question paper consists of five (5) sections: A, B, C, D & E. Section-A consists of twenty-five questions in Physics, Section B of twenty-five questions in Chemistry, Section C of twenty-five questions in Biology, Section- D consists of fifty questions in Mathematics & Section-E consists of twenty-five questions in English. Each question carries one mark.

CITBTEE: The CITBTEE is conducted every year by CIT Kokrajhar for entry into B. Tech program. It is three hours duration and consists of multiple-choice questions with a total of 125 marks. The question paper consists of four (4) sections: A, B, C & D. Section A consists of twenty-five questions in Physics, Section B consists of twenty-five questions in Chemistry, Section C consists of fifty questions in Mathematics and Section D consists of twenty-five questions in English Communication Skill. Each question carries one mark.

CITBLET: The CITBLET is conducted every year by CIT Kokrajhar for entry into B. Tech 3rd semester program under Lateral Entry scheme. It is of three hours duration and consists of multiple-choice questions with a total of 100 marks. The question paper consists of two sections: Section-A (60 marks) Common Paper for all branches and Section-B (40 marks) – Branch Paper. Each question carries one mark.

CITBDAT: The CITBDAT is conducted every year by CIT Kokrajhar for entry into B. Des program. It is three hours duration and consists of multiple-choice questions with a total of 200 marks. The question paper consists of two parts: PART – A & PART – B. The question paper carries 107 questions in total.

CITMTEE: The CITMTEE is conducted by CIT Kokrajhar for admission into M. Tech Programme. It is of two hours duration and consists of multiple choice type questions carrying one mark each with a total of 100 marks.

CITMDAT: The CITMDAT is conducted by CIT Kokrajhar for admission into the M.Des program. The question paper consists of two parts- Part-A: 50 multiple choice questions carrying one mark each and Part-B: two sections each of 25 marks which are Perceptive/Illustrative type.

The CITEE 2024 Admit Card will be released by the officials as per the scheme. Those who want to attend the CIT EE 2024 Exam need to check and download the Admit Card on the official website. And the CITT 2024 Admit Card is mandatory for the candidates who are attending the Exam. The officials will not allow the candidates who are going to attend without the Admit Card. The admit card will be available for download at least fifteen (15) days ahead of the schedule of the Entrance Examination from the CIT admission portal.
