CIFNET Entrance Exam 2024 Eligibility
Vessel Navigator Course (VNC)/ Marine Fitter Course (MFC)
Entry Qualification: Pass in 10th Standard or equivalent examination with 40% marks in Maths and Science separately for VNC and MFC. An attested copy of the mark list of 10th Std. or equivalent examination should be enclosed with the application even if the candidate possesses higher qualifications. The candidates who are appearing 10th examination in March-June 2024 are also eligible to apply. However, the selection will be made only through marks obtained in 10th Std.
Age limit: 15 to 20 years as of 1st August 2024. Upper age limit relaxable to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates by 5 years. An attested copy of the Age/ Date of birth certificate is to be enclosed with the application. SC/ ST candidates who claim relaxation of age should submit along with the application, an attested copy of a community certificate from REVENUE Authorities specifying that they belong to a Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe, failing which age relaxation will not be granted. There is no age limit when employed candidates are sponsored for training. However, no relaxation in educational qualification is granted to the sponsored candidates also.
Bachelor Of Fishery Science (Nautical Science)
Entry Qualification: 10 + 2 with minimum 50% marks in all subjects of PCB or PCM and also 50% marks in English either in 10th or +2 std. In the case of SC/ ST students, only a pass is required in the qualifying examination with the above subjects. However, the candidate with the PCM group will be directly eligible for GMDSS after BFSc(NS) degree.
Age limit: Maximum: 20 years as of 1st October of the respective year.

Application duly filled may be sent with an application fee of Rs.300/- (for General/ OBC (NCL) & Rs. 150/- (for SC/ ST candidates) through bharatkosh.gov.in, NTRP portal to Government account as furnished below, However e-receipt for making payment for application should be enclosed along with the filled application.
