BHU RET Eligibility Criteria

For Ph.D. Through Research Entrance Test (RET)

• Doctor of Philosophy/ Vidyāvāridhi Degree (hereinafter referred to as the Ph. D. Degree program) in various disciplines given in Section A Table 1(a) (through RET and RET Exempted mode) and Section A Table1(b) (through RET Exempted mode only) (in the official notification) for registration in September 2021 and March 2022 semesters can check out eligibility criteria from below section

Candidates who are willing to get admission for M.Phil.-Ph.D. Programme should be having the following qualifications.

• Masters Degree/ MA/ LLB/ LLM or B.E/ B.Tech
• Must have at least 55% in the aggregate or equivalent grade point average in the examination of the qualifying degree obtained from any Indian University/Institution recognized by AIU/AICTE or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-Point scale

For Master of Philosophy M.Phil

Postgraduate degree in any discipline of Social Sciences/ Humanities with a minimum of
55% marks at the qualifying examination.

• Total no. of questions – 100 multiple choice questions
