ASRB NET 2024 – Eligibility Criteria

- The rules for the National Eligibility Test Examination to be held by the Agricultural
Scientists Recruitment Board is published for general information. - NATIONALITY
A candidate must be either
(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a citizen of Nepal, or
(iii) a citizen of Bhutan, or
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962, with the
intention of permanently settling in India, or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and
East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
- AGE LIMITS
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years as of 01.01.2024. There is no upper
age limit for the National Eligibility Test.
- EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
A candidate must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned Discipline and specialization completed on or before 30.09.2024from any Indian University incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or he/she must have a qualification from a foreign University recognized as equivalent eligibility qualification by the Government of India (GoI).
